Director and Actor, Freelance

  • Applied for and received grant funding for theatrical projects, ranging from $1,000 – $50,000
  • Led high school students through the creation of devised theatre, exploring social justice through the process of theatrical storytelling
  • Taught various courses at multiple higher ed institutions, from community college to the flagship campus of a major multicampus public research institution and received consistently high reviews from students

2020 – 2021

Associate Artistic Director, Bloomington Playwrights Project

  • Planned, organized, and executed the annual largest fundraiser, surpassing previous fundraising records
  • Presented shows and events outside the mainstage season, allowing the Artistic Director to focus on the institution’s survival during the pandemic
  • Coordinated summer camps; hired instructors, and established and enforced COVID safety protocols, resulting in sold out camps with no incidents of COVID-19

2010 – 2020

Artistic Director, Ivy Tech John Waldron Arts Center

  • Established student productions, producing and directing; directed a wide range of works including new plays, Shakespeare, musicals, and experimental works
  • Managed $800,000 annual budget and supervised over 150 faculty and staff
  • Raised $100,000 for capital improvements; managed a $500,000 interior renovation
  • Grew Ivy Arts for Kids summer arts camp program enrollment by 30%
  • Secured multiple grants, including a 4-year $150,000/year grant from Indiana Arts Commissionm
